NASCAR: Major Sponsor Deals Indicate Turning Economy Well, Not Exactly
Wednesday, February 8th, 2012 02:15 PM EDT
Z-VIEW: Like a politician, NASCAR spins reality; sponsors are returning for sure, at half price, it'll be years before sponsors pay full price again. The sport has lost its luster, and audience, dynamics that aren't soon to change regardless of how it's spun.

MEDIA: Danica Points Swap Meant To Boast Ratings Sponsor Tracks
Monday, February 6th, 2012 11:14 AM EDT
Z-VIEW: Tommy Baldwin/Stewart-Haas Racing collaborative partnership is a joke structured to benefit TV ratings, Go Daddy, and maybe ticket sales, but deal does nothing for sport's integrity. Desperately trying to recapture mid-'00 luster, sadly, NASCAR continues to bend the rules or 'jury rig' events.

MEDIA: ISC's Profits Increase While Number Of Seats Decrease
Friday, February 3rd, 2012 12:29 PM EDT
Z-VIEW: Taking a page from the airlines playbook, ISC removed (or covered seats with advertising banners), thereby decreasing capacity, in turn, so management hopes, demand will increase for seats as they become less available, then increase prices. These folks are geniuses. "Gouge the diehards."

MEDIA: NASCAR To Takeover Its Website From Turner Digital
Tuesday, January 31st, 2012 09:17 AM EDT
Z-VIEW: Suggested here eighteen months ago, NASCAR might take over its website from Turner. Well, come 2013 it will do just that. Although Turner editorial staff did offer some 'objectivity' from time-to-time forget it now, NASCAR will control all content, unfortunately.

MEDIA: NASCAR To End Secret Fines Big Whoop
Monday, January 30th, 2012 11:53 AM EDT
Z-VIEW: Secret or not fining a driver for 'personal opinion' is absurd. Brad Keselowski, fined $25k for rightfully commenting on EFI initiative is an example of the absurdity. Fines are typically meant to discourage future behavior; NASCAR's use is retaliatory, and deliberate for 'brand protection'.
